Frequently Asked Questions
Many of the programs involving photo needs last from 8-10 weeks. Turn
around time is essential. Once the pictures have been taken, how
soon are they available to the participants?
Sportraits normal turnaround time is approximately
3-4 weeks. We have several points at which we take time to ensure order accuracy
and quality. If needed, quicker turnaround times are available.
How are the portraits distributed to the player?
Sportraits ships the portraits to each coach, with each child's order packaged individually and then sorted by team.
Team portraits are typically taken the day of the sports jamboree.
Time is limited and it is essential that the schedule be
adhered to. How many teams can you photograph in an hour?
With an available staff of over 50, Sportraits can assure you that we can handle
any number of teams to meet your organization's needs. We do bring all necessary
help to each activity, so parents and coaches help is not required. We
guarantee our on-time performance on picture day. If a team is
not being photographed within 10 minutes of their scheduled time, they'll be
entitled to receive $25 towards their year-end party. This does not apply if
teams are waiting for late players or coaches. (Due to their size, this does
not apply for football teams).
Are sports that are played outdoors photographed
outdoors? What type of backdrop is used for indoor pictures?
Sportraits tries to photograph each sport in it's own environment. If portraits are done indoors, Sportraits uses custom made canvas and muslin backgrounds.
Occasionally, teams miss their photo session. How do you handle
make-up photographs?
We understand that for a number of reasons, teams
or players are sometimes unable to make the scheduled picture day that
their league has booked with Sportraits. However, in order to be fair
to everyone, Sportraits has certain requirements that must be met in
order to schedule a makeup day for teams that missed the original picture
day. This also applies to organizations that would like to schedule
us for pictures, but have less than 5 teams.

Are your photographers sensitive to people with "special needs" (I.e.Special
Olympic team pictures?)
Sportraits can assure you that we will spend the necessary time and effort to
produce a great portrait of all children including those with special needs.
Do you offer a product guarantee?
Sportraits offers a 100% guarantee on all of our products and services. This written guarantee is included on our order envelope, with information on how
to contact us directly with any questions or comments.
Are your prices competitive?
We do believe our prices are competitive. We invest more in our people, products and equipment in order to provide our customers with the best quality and service possible, so we may not be the least expensive. However, we have found that parents are more concerned with an organized, efficient picture day and top quality products. More often than not, leagues have had many more complaints about poor quality and customer service from previous photographers, rather than about price. While we understand that pricing is a part of every decision, we hope that your decision will not be based on price alone.
What is your business' definition of customer service?
Sportraits firmly believes in providing every customer
with the utmost in service and quality in our products. We make every
effort in our scheduling of teams; organization on photo day, quality of
our products, delivery, and our follow-up afterwards to make sure each and
every one of our customers is satisfied. If there are ever any questions
or concerns, we will handle them directly and solve any challenge as soon
as it arises.
Does your business maintain regular office hours with a local telephone
number to facilitate customers questions and concerns?
Sportraits hours are normally Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, we
are often in the office before and after normal hours and on weekends. We have
a toll free 800 number as well as a voice messaging system and return calls
as soon as possible after they are received.
Can you buy from the "Add-on" list?
Yes. Sportraits created the plans as a savings benefit to the players who would like to purchase our most popular combinations. They can purchase an item from the add-on list if desired.
Are you willing to offer free team pictures the coaches and sponsors? Would you be willing to sponsor a team?
Sportraits provides the coaches of each team with complimentary 5x7 team portraits.
Sponsors will receive a complimentary sponsor plaque that includes a team 5x7. Sportraits is more than happy to support an organization by sponsoring a team.
Do you offer a rebate?
Sportraits
will add any amount you wish to our existing packages that will be rebated back
to your organization. The reason for this is simple, we do not want to “buy” our
way into a league and then be forced to cut corners in our quality or service
to make up for the money we are rebating.
What if it rains ?
No problem! Sportraits has invested in a self-supporting tarp system that allows
us to keep on working in inclement weather. (We cover the players and teams
too, not just our gear).
What equipment do you use?
Sportraits uses only professional digital
equipment and studio lights with generators. (Not
on camera flash or battery packs).
What method of payment do you accept?
Sportraits
accepts cash, checks, and credit cards (American Express, Discover, Visa, & Mastercard).
We use cash registers on site for our transactions to better serve our customers.
Customers can also use our Speedpay service, which
allows them to prepay online with a credit card and bypass the cashier table
on picture day. Sportraits created and launched this service in 2004 as an added
convenience for our customers.
Do you require a multi-year contract?
Sportraits does not require a multi year
contract. We truly believe that it is in the best interest of our
customers and Sportraits to earn the
privilege
of photographing your
